Serenissima was officially created in 1942 by Simone Michelotti and, after 3 generations, is still owned by the Michelotti family.
Since then, the production has never stopped with its own “Torta Tre Monti” and “Torta Titano”, only when, in 1944, because of the Second World War, the bakery started to produce bread and food for refugees and men who had escaped from Rimini towards the neutral Republic.
Those delicacies are a symbol that identify the Republic and the handicraft commerce in San Marino.
In 2011 in a competition called “Tutto Cibus” Serenissima won a certificate of niche excellence and of countless other different gastronomical and literary quotes.
